How to add a free ebook to your emails
How to add a free ebook to your emails
All the marketing gurus that I have been reading up on all keep saying add value,
“What value?” I ask; “A free ebook is a good place to start,” they say.
“Great where do I find one of those?”
“You can’t use mine, write your own.”
“ If I knew how to write one I wouldn’t be reading yours.”
You get the idea. All I wanted to do was add a free ebook to my email that was send out as a Thank You to the people that joined my list.
Step 1. Find the ebook. Well I have downloaded a number in my time so I must have one that is free to pass on.
I spent most of a wet Sunday reading all the legal stuff under the copyright notice on all the ebooks that I had downloaded, only to find one that I could use freely.
The high point was I cleaned up a lot of files.
Step 2. Rename the ebook that you wish to use so it’s all lowercase letters and has no spaces in the name.
Step 3. Open up the FTP that you use for your website and upload the ebook to your website.
Just place it in your www. file. The one with your Domain name.
What’s FTP you ask? That’s the program that you upload files to and edit your web page with.
Step 4. Write your Thank You letter in HTML. Turn your ebook title into a Hyperlink by highlighting the text then clicking the “link” icon (The chain link).
When the Insert Hyperlink box opens insert the full web address, which will be made up of http://www.YOURSITE.com/ebooktitle.pdf, into it.
Step 5. Test your email by sending it to yourself and test the link.
Now seat back and watch the money roll in. Right? Sorry but this is just one of the many little tricks you need to discover.
